I have a hard time taking a liking to Kukai for some reason 😆 I'm not saying she's a bad person or that I dislike her, I just can't relate to her the way I do with MC or Ashiya. Maybe she's not cute or innocent, maybe she's evil in disguise 😈 😈

His boss telling him he has a "cute little ass" is both comical and disturbing at the same. I always appreciated people like Toyoshima or MC's brother who can speak their minds for the benefit of others.

And now that we found out about Kakui, the entire male demographic of the high school would be VERY distressed 😆 oh well, c'est la vie!

All in all, this is a great, cute start for their relationship. Honest people who know what they want and do their best to understand each other. Is "do their best" an overstatement? Maybe it just came naturally for them.

"I bet with you it wouldn't be" - MC has its shy guy charming swag. Good job, boy. Also, good job impressing the love interest's father 😆 he'll now have to properly consider him as a potential inheritor of his cinematic empire, given his vast knowledge of movies.

And for some reason, Kukai now jumps into cute moments and ruins them. I'm borderline starting to dislike her 😜😆

Of course, Ashiya goes to the same event; why do I even wonder? 😆 I'm not even sure if this is meant to be considered a first date—that would likely be the 2nd accidental date with her.

And we got the love interest to meet the mom's protagonist quite soon. Why was she surprised? I wonder if they know each other. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that Ashiya's parents are the organizers of the entire event.

Still keeping us hanging, huh? Even the name of the chapter, "lingering silence", fits everything pretty well. Our MC officially no longer cares about girl #1 and is now focused on Ashiya, which I admire. He's honest to himself and knows what he wants (though he's quite insecure and slow to take action)

PS: I love your thinking, so if you have time, I'd be happy if you could also let me know your thoughts on my novel. Anyways, moving on to the next chapter 😜

I was not expecting an entire chapter with Ashiya's POV. That probably makes her main love interest now. But in a sense, I feel sorry for the other girl that you haven't given her that much character development yet —maybe you'll do that later. However, I couldn't care less cause I'm more curious about Ashiya right now 😆 she is becoming more relatable as we learn more about her.

Our MC gets a bit boring and cliche—seen that too often in slice-of-life stories recently. Maybe it's intentional; maybe everything is meant to revolve around Ashiya.

Overall, it's a captivating story, and it keeps you hooked. The cliffhangers are a bit shallow, and I'm not sure about the general direction yet, but I can work with that for now.
