Author's Commentary #233:
Time to talk about Chapter 233: Infiltration mission.
So first off, this Author's Commentary is going up a few days after this chapter was posted. The main reason for that was the start of the contest. Anyway, time to talk about the chapter.
Daria's going undercover and joining up with Ina. She'll be infiltrating a prestigious college controlled by basketball legend, Slick Suou and his daughter, Mari Suou. Even though they've yet to appear, I'll give their bios here.
周防 スリック (Suou Slick) is how Slick's name is written in Japanese. 周防 means "dynasty" and "defend".
His birthday is May 30th, which is the same as Haruki Kamoshida's. I was originally going to have him be Haruki's father, but ultimately decided against it.
He doesn't play chess, so he has no favorite piece, though if he did, it would be the queen.
周防 真凛 (Suou Mari) is how Mari's name is written in kanji. It's an obvious pun on "Mary Sue". 真凛 means "truth" and "dignity".

Her birthday is July 21st. I chose this date at random, so there's no greater significance behind why this date is her birthday.
Her favorite piece is the queen, mainly because that's what she views herself as.
