Author's Commentary #102:
Time to talk about Chapter 102: Maestro Wiley Frisch.
The third of the seven maestros has been introduced and he's a stereotypical American boomer. He is really good at chess though.
ワイリー・フリッシュ (Wiley Frisch) is how his name is written in katakana.
His birthday is March 9th which he shares with American grandmaster and 11th chess world champion, Bobby Fischer.
His favorite piece is the bishop, mainly because he feels it truly is better than the knight.
One fun fact I'll mention about him is that his rating of 3050, or at least the 50 part of it, is a reference to the fact that there are 50 states in the US.
Wiley is probably the guy who knows how Pewler works the best. However, due to his stubbornness, he'll tend to try and beat him by himself without asking for help. Though if he deems someone worthy, he won't mind if they assist or not.
That's all for this commentary. I hope you enjoyed it.
