I remember learning that, but then I forgot until you mentioned it. It's probably thanks to Gyro (Gunther Gunnerson). With him, his name is always pronounced with the "g". I feel this stems from the fact then when I looked up what his name would be in Japanese, it always translates to ジャイロ (jyairo). As such, the characters in universe will always refer to him as "ジャイロ". There actually is a polyglot in the series, but I don't think they're fluent in Greek yet, so they wouldn't be aware of the silent g in-universe.

Well that was a story all right. Definitely not your typical story, but an enjoyable one nonetheless. It does feel a tad non-fictiony at times, but whether it's true, half-true, or completely fictional without being based on any real-life experiences, I enjoyed my time reading it.

I thought Jess was initially Mella, and that we finally got proper art of her at last. And for more ramblings, whenever I hear "gyro", I always think of gyroscopes. Yes, I'm well aware gyros are sandwiches, but I learned what gyroscopes were before that, so that's what my mind defaults to when I hear the word.
