Thanks for the review.
I actually don't recall what I commented, but it was never meant to be like a madoka or rezero like twist (at least not this early). I find that it would be a bit too abrupt for such a thing to happen, but it seemed like for some readers, even the little twist of Eryn being not a generic waifu was something that caused a stir on other sites I posted. Not so much a surprise for someone 'cultured' but let's face it - a lot of isekai readers want trophy wives that do nothing but sit pretty.
Volume 1 and volume 2, as you said, were meant to be somewhat similar, with the themes of "You're not a generic MC." and "Those by your side." being kind of the central themes.
I do have a habit of introducing bits and pieces of characters and background gradually, and one reason for that becomes a bit more clear later on. The other reason is that I don't always have immediate plans for what to do with them right away. Ludmila and Katsys, get their little moments and then get fleshed out in Vol 3, just like how Saki was introduced in vol 1 and then explored more in Vol. 2. Probably just the nature of how I write, so it's nice to have someone point it out to make me think about throwing in characters and tidbits without a purpose until later.
