Thanks a lot for the review. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
The beginning does feel a little disconnected, mainly because I was focusing on comedy without really any strong idea of where it would go. Snazzy was just busy driving Maribell nuts, while somehow (ironically through his actions) getting her trust. I probably could have fleshed out these beginning parts to show more development, but I was hoping to push them toward the main goal of finding that first lead.
And quite noticably, it came together better when I figured out where a good stopping point was in the second half. I should have went back and injected that tenderness into the early parts to give it some heart, but Maribell's lack of trust kind of made it hard.
