Like him or not, Snazzy was always meant to be a huge disrupter in the isekai world. But rather than the route that most isekai do (by just giving them OP abilites), I was going for a continual tone disruption. He plays whack-a-mole with the serious situations that the other characters have. It's his brute force way of dealing with things, which causes him to eventually fail. But even in failure, nothing was a waste. It kind of stresses the idea that people may not like what you do all the time, but single failures don't define the path that you have paved.
I pretty much knew going into writing this that Snazzy would be a divisive character. And definitely when writing comedy, it's all subjective. As for your village to village point, I'm not sure how I could do it differently because they were on the run. They wasn't much time to linger around they could only stay long enough to find information without endangering the residents. Of course, a lot of it was Maribell's initial doubts about acceptance.
If I do end up continuing this, Bella does resurface (I actually have a big role for her in mind).
