also, it's a small detail, but I really liked this moment for Azag. I wanted to have several “bookend” moments through the story, where moments at the beginning are matched with follow ups at the end. when we first meet Azag, he makes a comment in rage about how “no one listens” to him as the revolution is slaughtered. now, Sayane comments that everyone is listening to him. there are a few other moments like this that I really liked doing to help give closure and completion to the character journeys for the core cast.

I think the biggest driver for tension is not in the hope that Sayane succeeds, it's in what the cost is. and in the end, the core of this story has always been Sayane’s journey of self discovery. now, after everything, her last challenge is coming to acceptance with death. she's died already, and if this is her final goodbye, can she find peace in that and greet her end with tranquility? that's what this has all been about. acceptance of mortality and self worth. I'm very grateful for your reading!

I was waiting for you to reach this chapter. this is my favorite moment in the whole story in many ways. No more crying, this, and one more upcoming part!
i thought this was a very good, realistic summary of the grief and acceptance our two leads would be feeling at this moment. especially with the final Shard waiting.
