also, I still owe you song inspirations for Revolutionary Songstress, but for this, Miu’s theme is In Memoriam by Hollow Front. Yuki’s theme is Come to Grips with Death and the End by The Browning. their combined theme/main theme of the story is What Doesn’t Hold is Bound to Break by Fading Languages.
opening themes if there was an anime would by The Bitter End by Architects and Sonna Ni Kantan Na Noni by Merciless Cult.

I generally avoid writing flash forwards and in media res scenes, but I thought opening the story the way I did was important this time. it paints all of this with a tragic foreshadowing because we now know that not only does this not last, but things go horribly, terribly wrong.

maybe the coolness is why The Silence banned them? too cool. but yeah it was a fun challenge to simultaneously have to come up with sci fi fantasy instrument designs too. I didn’t want to just be like “oh yeah they totally have regular harps in this world even though everything else is different…” so it was fun to create entirely new designs etc that were still understandable. and yep I enjoyed the tension of the audience meeting Echo. lots of bad blood and history having to be set aside to help an innocent child.

oh don’t worry someone clarifies the “bonding” questions for her before Deflowered. and yep I imagined you’d like Echo after you said you liked Erosc. echo’s journey is one of my favorites. think a more bitter, intense version of Sazh from XIII (my fav FF character in many ways) but still with some gentle aspects.

thank you! I’m happy you enjoyed it. I try to make my writing as equally Josei and Seinen. action is just supplementary to the characters and story for me. I don’t even watch action anime lol Endymion and I are basically pure “slice of life” viewers at this point. I hope you enjoy Destroyers. Miu is going to be an interesting lead. she’s far more somber than Sayana or even Naoe. she’s the last character in my concept trilogy called “Women of Rage” which is Our Last Summer, Salaryman Familiar, and Destroyers. there’s certainly going to be a lot of action in this one but every scene will have purpose and intention. But the core of the story will always be Miu and Yuki just trying to be alone together. sad emojis for sure.
