Why does this feel like I’m watching an anime?! The pacing, the emotion, the sheer insanity of that final move….
it’s got all the energy of a last-stand battle episode. Kaito losing a hand, still pushing forward, and then throwing it as a decoy just to land the final blow? That’s some wild protagonist energy right there. I was half expecting the camera to spin around him mid scream while the music swelled 😂

And Pippa!! I can’t get over how this tiny pink fluffball has become such a ride-or-die companion. Her headbutt moment was such a classic anime sidekick save… it was cute and genuinely emotional.

This chapter hit hard… gritty and full of heart and it is just chapter 6!

If Kaito makes it through this, he deserves that overpowered comeback arc. Can’t wait to see what comes next!

Man, that was intense! The whole fight had this gritty, desperate energy that really pulled me in. The way the beast was described, that flicking tongue and those hellfire eyes...
genuinely creepy. (I could picture it easily)

I really felt Kaito’s fear and pain, especially when he lost vision in one eye. That moment where he just laughed in the face of death and spat blood at the creature? Absolute chills. (very piratey!) 😭
You can really feel the shift from panic to pure defiance. And the Tetanus Blade comeback? 🔥 Can’t wait to see how the fight turns next... this beast is no joke!

I definitely aimed to let the world and characters unfold gradually, keeping some of that fantasy flow in the transition while beginning to build out the magic and "otherworld" elements... though I know the pace is a little slower in this first chapter. I'm really glad to hear that you still liked it and that Kade and Renn felt real; grounding the fantasy in physical and making it seem real was really important to me.

I haven’t read much with sci-fi elements before, so this was a really refreshing experience for me! The VR concept mixed with historical fiction is such a cool idea, and that twist at the end definitely caught me by surprise. Also, it’s so cool seeing how everyone interprets the challenge in their own unique way, this one really stood out. Definitely gonna keep reading.

Whoa, what an opening! I was totally expecting Amyas to get some small, scrappy creature after all that buildup, but a full on fox girl? Absolute curveball 😂 I love how the chapter built up his nerves and then flipped everything on its head with Becki just casually refusing the bond like, “nah, I’ll decide later.” The tension + mystery combo is 🔥. Super curious now how their relationship is gonna work when the spirit doesn’t seem to follow the rules at all.

Really enjoyed this first chapter! It had that same immersive, emotional style from Until You Wake... heavy in all the right ways, and it just pulls you in without trying too hard.
I already like Itsuki a lot. You can really feel the weight he carries, but the way he still shows up for others is super admirable. And the woman in white? That whole chase to the cliff had me on edge. The tension and pacing were spot on, and I’m really curious about who she is and where this is all going.

Excited to see what happens next!

This chapter was super fun! I love how we got to see more of Kimi’s daily life and her passion for cosplay.

it really made her feel relatable. The buildup to the contest results had great tension, and the twist at the end with her getting transported into the fantasy world was awesome.

This was such a strong and imaginative start! I loved the blend of fantasy, ancient power, and modern-day Tokyo, it created such a cool contrast.
