This was so much fun to read! 😆

Right from the first paragraph, I was hooked by Amy’s snarky, self-aware narration. The whole “100th generation talisman maker who just wants a chill life” premise perfectly balances humor and mysticism, it’s giving slice-of-life meets supernatural sitcom energy, and I’m *so* here for it.

Joshua, though… my dude. He is absolutely wild. Every line he says made me laugh harder, especially the “Operation: Slap-A-Ghost” bit and the “explode” logic. The chemistry between him and Amy is spot-on; you can feel the lifelong friendship and the exasperation that comes with it. It’s like he’s the spark plug constantly igniting Amy’s carefully controlled world.

The pacing was great, too. The first chapter sets up the world and the comedic tone, and then chapter two just ramps up the absurdity in the best way possible. I also love how the magic system (talismans, intent, energy, etc.) actually feels grounded and detailed despite the comedy. The golden ink description and Amy’s focus while crafting? Genuinely cool worldbuilding moment.

And that cliffhanger… “Then, the world exploded.” 👀 You *know* something wild’s about to happen in chapter three.

Overall, this feels like if “Mob Psycho 100” and “The Daily Life of the Immortal King” had a baby and it decided to become a rom-com about ghost-hunting with paper charms.

Can’t wait to see what happens to “the Wailing Woman” (and whether Joshua survives his own genius plan). 💀

    Chapter:2

Wow, what a finale! This story wraps up in such an explosive and emotionally charged way that it really feels like the culmination of everything you’ve been building toward. From the chaos and carnage of Chapter 5 to the deeply heartfelt closure in Chapter 6, you managed to balance intensity and raw emotion in a way that felt cinematic.

I really loved how you wrote the Four Evil Kami. Each one had such a distinct personality. Harada’s gluttonous cruelty, Arashi’s eerie playfulness, Boroshi’s twisted greed, and Kyashi’s dominating malice. You gave them vivid, horrifying presence that made their eventual defeat satisfying on a mythic level. The way you described the massacre scenes was chilling but very effective, it truly painted the sense of danger and despair that Kikyo had to face.

Speaking of Kikyo, her growth from a hesitant graduate student into a divine warrior princess was fantastic to see come full circle here. I liked how you didn’t shy away from showing her fear or doubt, but also how she chose to act bravely despite it. That makes her victory over the Kami feel earned. And her final moment with Asuka? That was beautiful. Their relationship has been such a warm emotional core throughout the story, and you gave it a poignant and loving sendoff. The “I love you” flicker at the end was a perfect touch…. meaningful and heartfelt.

Another thing you did really well was the pacing of the last chapter. After the carnage of Chapter 5, the quick, focused fights in Chapter 6 made Kikyo feel competent and empowered, almost mythic herself. And returning her to the museum at the end brought everything full circle, it gave the story a sense of closure while leaving that little spark of wonder intact.

If I were to offer one suggestion, it’d be that some of the action scenes (especially in Chapter 5) could benefit from a few moments of quiet tension between the chaos, just to let the reader breathe and feel the gravity of what’s happening. But overall, you did a great job balancing the epic scale of the conflict with the personal, emotional story at its heart.

This was such a fun, creative ride from start to finish…. full of emotion, imagination, and heart. You’ve got a real talent for blending magical action and heartfelt connection, and it shows beautifully here.
