Frankly, I never enjoy reading about spiritual rituals etc. (of course, that's just me!)

BUT!

I do find that what's going on here is a really, really clever way of an epilogue. It shows us what's to come, indirectly, but leaves no questions and gives the reader a full closure, as it's well written.
