I always love negotiations! 😊
To be honest, I didn't expect them to give away their whole plan right from the start. It's fascinating because the Romans, with their Imperium, weren't exactly known for subtle negotiation—they often demanded rather than debated—so this open-book approach is so intriguing.
OR, I suppose, it's all part of a bigger plan!
Either way, this was a well-written chapter. I've traveled far and wide with this story 📖😁👍🏻

If you’ve reached this point, be warned that the trimming has already started (first slow, but soon becoming drastic 🪚)

I'm currently in my final week. Normally, I would need at least double the time just for the content I’ve already completed, and quadruple the time to cover all the material I didn't have time to write ✍️

For instance, I haven't explored the Warden storyline as much as I would have liked, and I only briefly introduced another crucial character whose significance should have been explained in much greater detail 🙄

Someone had to do this!
And there was a lot more to it than what I actually managed to write. If only I had double the time! 92 days instead of 46 🙄

As for the market yeah: as per the contest rules, the books must be appropriate for all kinds of readers, of all ages. So, I had to simplify the content significantly: basic colors, basic principles, and so on. But as a writer, I had to develop (and did develop) the entire currency and trading system ⚖️, list all the items they'd actually need for their camp and also calculate approximately how much each thing should cost (all of which is going into the appendices📖).

While reading this, I feel like I'm playing myself a MMO RPG.
Though, the stakes here are surely way higher! 😱

Also, the team dynamic is nice 😊
I especially love the interplay between the group: the comic relief of Shien and Elysia's banter with Mivangeline's earnest attempts at leadership makes the scene feel more lively 👍
