Oh, I haven't actually watched Gundam Wing, but that's really cool! I think I watched a couple of episodes and got turned off by how much of an a-hole the protagonist was. He was literally kicking cops down the stairs and being really abusive toward the heroine.

Damn it, I can't stop the Gundam references. Operation Ragnarok was from Gundam Seed Destiny when ZAFT launched an attack to destroy LOGOS and Blue Cosmos on the moon, Heaven's Base. And now they show up as Terrorists in your story.
