I highly suggest proofreading as I’ve caught many errors ranging from punctuation to spelling. Your work reads like a long essay so I recommend you space things out, especially when there’s dialogue or a change of scenes.

Your idea has potential. For a detective exposed to suicide cases only to find out his wife is Thanatos driven (and then of course, the plot twist); if you polish your work, it might be easier for others to read. Overall, good effort ☺️ make sure to go back and fix the errors!

I swear this isn’t bias but tbh your entry is one of my favorites right now because it’s such a simple but super relatable story that many including myself could relate. That last line of her note absolutely kills…that even upon writing that, she didn’t feel heard. And it’s very upsetting but a reality for most people to endure parents whose anger never cease despite losing a child. Honestly, a great piece 👏
