I'm glad to hear Adan was well enjoyed. I've had that power in the back of my mind for some time, and I'm happy it was well appreciated. There may be some other "safety" themed abilities in the future, so look out for those.
I had not thought of the Erza connection, but Fairy Tail was my "Gateway Anime," so it's very possible that it had a heavy influence as I was forming ideas for this story at the same time.

I've mentioned some guns before, but this is the first time they got a spotlight. (There will actually be some more next chapter as well, I believe) They resemble flintlock-era rifles, and the Gatling gun in my mind looked like something that fit that style. (Perhaps I should have elaborated more 😆)
To explain a little more lore (And risk going on a full-on lore dump), guns on Resh were brought by the Netzians. At that point, Needaimus were already well in use for combat due to the so-called Great War, which predated the Netzian arrival by several hundred Resh years.
At first, guns were taken up by some enthusiasts who introduced the energy technology. Still, it took a while for the militaries to realize the combat potential due to the unpredictability of powers that can appear on the battlefield. (This also stifled other forms of weapons like tanks and planes since there were individuals who could deal just as much or more with the proper Needaimus.)
The world in the story is currently is on the cusp of a broader application of firearms, and other, weapons being implemented by world military powers. The Netzians, in particular, are the most interested in improving the individual soldiers' potential. However, there are some skilled warriors in swordplay and other weapons that can hold their own against a Needaimus user (I think I should have shown one of these warriors sooner in the story), so the transition is slow, and weapons production isn't high enough at the moment to supply a whole army.
Hopefully, that was easy to follow and not too long. If there are any holes, feel free to point them out. I'm still a ways away from providing these details in the story, and any changes to improve the consistency of the world are welcome.
