I suppose some land has been lost thanks to rising sea levels, but yeah, it’d probably need to be higher to justify that level of crowd-age. I believe I was using some scientific predictions from somewhere of how large the population could be at this point in the future, buuut if it doesn’t make sense in this context, it just doesn’t.
Always a little embarrassing changing things after the fact, but I’m probably gonna revise this chapter to make it higher. Thankfully, at this point- the specific number hasn’t served any plot purpose other than lore/flavor.
