A strong first chapter, I can already sense the absolute horni that is to come.
I like how you were able to introduce the world-building aspect without making it sound like an info-dump. While a crazy action scene is taking place, you are also able to explain why she ended up in the situation in the first place. Reading this already gives you an idea on how the world works. Magicians are cool. Witches bad. Everyone hates them. Simple as that.
Then there's the introduction of characters, where Snazzy comes across as flamboyant and entertains us with such wonderful interactions with the witch.
Overall, makes for a flashy start that will probably make you read more.
Of course, it would probably be hard to notice these aspects when you're too focused on the details underneath your pants......
