This chapter seems to be playing around with Chiffon's psyche. She is given a rather distorted moral dillemma do deal with as she faces off against a hill baby. It looks like her mind is being driven to the point of insanity as she tries to visualize the target in front of her and rationalize her actions. She ends up in a little delusion, believing that the horrid monster she is facing is a pitiable innocent child. Once she is faced with reality, she ends up in a flurry of madness.
Of course, our charming try-hard, smooth as butter is able to calm her down with clever tricks and pretty words, proving that he is a knight capable of being by her side.
He may have some rather strange intentions for doing so, but that makes him all the more interesting as a character.
