imagine they get liberated at once and start eating each other...
since you've been leaving nice comments every chapter and I've mostly been shitposting I'll give a mid season review ig
I'm obviously biased to some degree since bonded by music is still my favorite story on the site, but.,,,,,,, yeah this slaps
idk if you know about the one electron theory, but tl;dr it says that there's a chance that there is only one electron in the universe moving through space and time simultaneously since they are all the exact same. WELL, SO ARE EPIC HEROINES. the sheer amount of socially awkward clumsy naive nice main characters are driving me up the fucking wall. I'm at my wit's end. I'm one not like other girls montage away from inceldom.
Having said that, while I feel like nona fits this to a T, I think I tolerate her because her flaws have been an actual obstacle multiple times already and I think the other characters are strong enough to make up for this. You know how I mentioned that your main characters were extremely good while the rest were generally alright in your past story? I feel like it's the opposite here, but I also think that it's a prompt thing with them putting flaws in quotation marks. It doesn't exactly invite people to write morally complex heroines... still, while she's probably the weakest part of the story for me, perhaps by design, she's still one of the better examples of this I've seen, and I like that she's stupid enough to be unintentionally funny instead of just aura farming all over the place.
The rest of the squad is great though. Thorny stood out as my favorite for a while, but I also like Adish and Vesper desperately working to keep the group's single braincell alive. Not sure if the new guys will be permanent additions after this disaster, but they already left a pretty good impression after a single chapter, and I'd be glad to read more about them. I'd say maybe Vesper has the weaker personality, but I think it's more that she's like... actually stable while the rest are disasters. I also like that as a whole, they're all quirky but aren't pure random XD, so I'm looking forward to learn more about them as the story goes on, especially Vesper since she feels like she's had the least time in the limelight compared to the bois.
I also really like that all the stupid things they do end up having a snowball effect instead of just being haha funny thing happens like I've noticed in a lot of other entries mineincludedimeanwhat, so the more comedic scenes still end up mattering to the overall narrative, if not for plot reasons then characters. It's hard to pull off something that has an episodic feel but still has momentum, so that's pretty nice. I'm looking forward to see the way these small things pay off once it's all said and done, especially since the actual main quest ain't allat... I'm left wondering if there will be a twist later on or if the stakes will randomly skyrocket near the end.
I also have to appreciate the range of writing gay gay homosexual gay talent comp and moving on to a journey fantasy comedy.
really looking forward to see how this goes
