A touching last chapter, that certainly left me wanting a bit more!! We got to see so much of Mika and Saya struggling to connect, that I wanted to see Mika finally embracing the emotions of love and getting to experience them a little bit longer! ❤️ But I understand the word count is a challenge, and this story was about the journey to get here.
I finally read to the end!!! Sorry that it took me so long. I've had some illnesses in my family and had to travel a lot this last month to offer my support. But I wanted to finish up my read trades from the contest!!
Watching Mika slowly change and reconnect with his emotions, while accepting and living with his condition, was really the strongest part of this story. Seeing him start to smile and have fun again was really fulfilling. Mika ended up going through a lot of situations and misunderstandings, but he got there in the end!! I feel like Saya was a BIG part of this story, and it was because of her that everything really happened.
Saya almost felt like Mika's exact opposite: Saya was a girl empowered by her emotions and making life choices based on her emotions, compared to Mika who couldn't make any choices from emotion at all due to his condition. They balanced each other, in a way! I think they still have a lot they can learn from each other in the future.
If there is one thing I think could make this story stronger, it is editing. Some of the middle parts of the story got didn't progress the overall plotline that much, whereas the ending left me wishing for more time getting to see Mika and Saya dating. But still, even with that said, I think you should be very proud of this!! Congratulations on writing it through to the end. Writing a 74.999 word novel in 3 months is a big accomplishment!! (Exactly one word short of the 75000 limit 🤣 that's great!!)
I notice on your profile you say you are from Türkiye, so I am not sure if English is your first language, but you wrote this really well! It sounded very natural. 👍 Congratulations again and thank you for writing and sharing this story with us!!!
