Here's what I was able to find so far with the games. The first is assuming it follows the traditional exd5 line, the second is me trying to achieve the d3 move. Both are incomplete. Let me know your thoughts as to what seems right.

We've got a snag. You say they play the e captures d5 variation, which I'm assuming leads to the Barmen Defense, 1. e4 c5 2. c3 Nc6 3. d4 d5 4. exd5 Qxd5, yet it's after that where things get confusing. 5. Nf3 feels like it's next, but Sai's 5th move is a bit more up in the air. At first I thought it was Nf6, but as she makes that move later on, I decided to go with 5... e6. Then Kaburi goes 6. g3, and Sai, 6... e5. The problem is that in this line, it's impossible for Kaburi to go 7. d3. I went back to the drawing board and found a line where exd5 and d3 are both possible, but the problem there is that it involves moving the bishop to b5 beforehand. If I'm just missing the line, let me know.

That's honestly the same ordering it is for me, but with X at the bottom. It had some good ideas, but I just felt the story was a huge step down compared to 1's. Not to mention, no playable/support character nopon. Funnily enough, that game actually had a bald female NPC, who could only get a wig if you could find the trigger for her quest in one of the most obscure corners of the map.
