Wow... thank you for the incredibly kind words! 😳
My only goal has ever to make the reader feel like they're having fun so I'm very happy to hear that. 😭
I'm really honored you want to draw Ivy. The only description I have of her in the text is,
"And finally the blonde, in the yellow down vest, her hair tied up in a ponytail. "
Hmm.. I tend to leave descriptions vague because, at least for me when I read, I get a picture of the character from their personality and name and the way they talk. A pet peeve of mine is when I form a picture of a character, and then two chapters later I get some kind of description that contradicts the image I already formed in my head. So for that reason, I usually don't describe physical attributes unless it's plot important, and I try not to interfere with the reader's interpretation.
I guess which is all to say... Whatever Ivy looks like in your head, is what she looks like!
I can distill what I think the essence of Ivy is, if that helps evoke visualization:
- She's a tsukkomi, the other half of Violet's dumb jokes. If you say something dumb in front of her, she'll feel the irresistible urge to hit you over the head with a paper fan. Of course, she's not immune to switching roles once in a while, and will eagerly play the 'boke' if the situation fits. Ivy loves to eat, and Violet enjoys poking fun at her because she's self-conscious about it. (All in good fun, though.) Ivy is also the resident bookworm, mostly preferring manga and fiction (the more imaginative the better), and due to this she probably has the most eclectic (sometimes useless, occasionally useful) range of knowledge about pre-Orc life. She loves to share these facts with the others, unsolicited. Her idea of a good time is sitting alone in an automat at 3AM in the morning, reading a book.
Thank you again for reading!!!
