I like the tone I'm feeling - comfy but melancholic. like, it's a 'perfect future'--no war, but you still have to work two jobs saddled with debt.
I also get the sense bad things happened in the past, in the sense of both the world (the war) and the MCs. stella and bob.. i mean, fuyukawashigure (.. FYKSGR?) - have dark histories.
their pasts seem to left Stella a bit fish-out-of-water in modern day, and FYKSGR seems ashamed, or guilty about his.
