It is one of the things I love about your characters. Many stories I read here, the characters are pretty flat. What you see is what you get. Your characters are complex. They have many layers. First impressions are not always what they seem. My first impression of Milady was that she was a bit of a recluse, a little arrogant, a survivor, but a generally ok person. When she made her to do list, I felt that it was the same list she always makes: survive, prepare brews, cast spells. I am now second guessing my impression of her. Thank you for such a good story.
