I mean... context is very important with worldbuilding. EMPs can have a lasting structural damage, not so much ecological... So that's true.
Its like saying a shark and goldfish are the same. In many ways they are but their interaction with the ecology is more complicated. You get the idea.
Same applies with the use of nukes, different uses and payloads. Again, you never bothered to elaborate, rather you expect a reader to take it at face value~
