This chapter is very cute. With that room tucked away in some backwing of the palace, it feels like Chika is going to transform it into a veritable witch's den, with tentacle motifs creeping into the exterior wallpaper. Wholesome uwu.
Two things to note. Whilst Thelian is described as fairly analytical, I wonder if it's not a little drab to present that by having him constantly narrate and rationalise over pieces of dialogue. Especially when he does so without much of a 'that's my Chika', or 'wow, she's more cunning than I expected'.
Second, and perhaps a little more pedantic, but wouldn't the maid staff be instantly endeared towards a perceived commoner joining a higher rank? With her spunky can-do attitude, I feel like Thelian and Chika's way of currying their favour could've just as well been 'hey, here's Chika, drop the sama, she's going to hug you a lot and you'll probably be reticent at first, but if you don't love it by the end of the day then I think you're a literal psychopath.' Food for thought.
