Much unlike my previous last-chapter monumental comments, I don't feel like I have anything meaningful to contribute here in such a long form. As such, I will summarise my thoughts.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I think there is a rather mature outlook to it that is far too uncommon across our community and you manage to strike it in a fairly approachable manner. The defamation of patriarchal systems was the highlight for me, not only as a concept, but insofar as it also contributed to Thelian's personal development across these lovely 19 chapters.
That being said, 19 chapters is *short*. There is obviously the time constraint that needs to be accounted for, but notwithstanding that, the pacing is unarguably breakneck and a far more extensive setup was required for a story of this magnitude. As such, a lot of the interactions sadly fall flat and a lot of the side characters feel reduced to a rather unsatisfactory essence, bar our two protagonists.
Protagonists who are lovely. A veritable power couple, here to break into the limelight and gently upheave the social order, one careful step at a time. Seeing their relationship blossom, with all the assorted teething troubles, was a very quirky reminder that the awkwardness and anxiety never leaves your romantic life, no matter how you age. But despite that, you've made as good a case as you could to how an old dog can be taught new tricks. (though our two aren't really that old, are they now?)
All in all, I feel this was as valiant an effort as your circumstances allowed and I see it as a marked improvement from your previous entry, which is probably as good a compliment as it gets. Hopefully you won't be lumbered by work next time around so that your work could be as eminent as I now have confidence it can be.
That's it.
Bubbles, out.
