Hmmm...
Not very sure about this chapter. On the one hand a lot of it feels like fodder, reiterating the same information we already knew if only for Diane to learn it or tell us that she already surmised it.
Then comes the 'liking aspect', which feels rather clumsily shoehorned in. I know it's meant to be anime aesthetics and all the funny hahas of the romance genre therein, but it does feel rather a cheap misunderstanding, much as it contributes to Diane's mischievous streak.
Then again, maybe I can afford the charitable interpretation that Kyle is simply dishonest with himself. And, following his perspective, said dishonesty can only be inferred and/or proclaimed so by other characters. Though watching him display little to no emotion during or for Vivian's exploits (bar the one note that stuck in my mind in regards to him feeling mildly sour at Vivian's treatment and ongoing frustration) really makes me wonder how much of that is some feeling and how much some mere utilitarianism on his behalf. After all, he truly believes his assigned goal is to help this woman, as bestowed upon him by the Goddess. To what end, though, the Goddess only knows.
