Might be the contest principles in me speaking, but 8 chapters in and the wisps of romance are not as clear as I had initially thought it'd be. I'll retain the benefit of the doubt for some more, but I'm a little iffy on that front, as I am on the Male POV. Because whilst we get Kyle's POV on everything, it very much feels like a quick gimmick to allow for a Female POV to actually take the reins. I do hope there's more agency on Kyle's end coming soon, or some communication, at least.
That aside, I do like the meticulousness with which you weave the tapestry of relationships surrounding this court drama plot. It's very masterful and well-thought out. To the point where it makes me wonder if this was something that you've already worked on and workshopped to better suit the prompts, as opposed to a spur of the moment idea that you let loose in a spell of creative effervescence.
