It's massive comments like yours that truly highlight every chapter I post! First of all, thank you very much! :D

To marathon my work is something that always leaves me astounded. And to even have such a comment with deadly and precise insight honestly frightens me (in a good way)! I really need to step up my game if I wish to throw you off for a twist!

Well I guess I can address a few things you pointed out.

The inspiration for [Laws] believe it or not, is a bedroom. Even if you don't own the house it's a part of, your bedroom is your space whether it's big or small and your personal rules apply there. As for how [Laws] require trial and error to figure out, I based that on how there are some qualities of yourself that you yourself may not realize and you require someone else to point it out for you. Thus, perfectly mastering a [Law] means truly understanding yourself.

Lo and Behold! Another fan of Rio has revealed itself. Seriously, she is pretty much the reason people read this novel! That being said, your comment tells me that you understood her the way I intended and that really makes me happy.

On a side-note, while it has been stated that you can recover from the strain of [Reaper's Embrace] after resting for the same amount of time you've been touched, let me at least say that it doesn't end there. I'll reveal what that is in a future chapter. For Lucas and Rio's relationship, I'll reveal a huge part related to that very soon!

I can talk about much more but I might end up walking on thin ice, so I'll have to leave things be for now.

Thanks to you, I've bypassed a 300 "likes" milestone and I hope the numbers continue to grow! If there was one disappointment I had, it's that I didn't take a screenshot of the notification bell. I've never received a number of notifications with two digits before!

And last, but not least... After 3 months of a hiatus, I've finally written the next chapter! You really picked a perfect time to hop on the Renegade bandwagon, Stella! I hope you enjoy my comeback chapter, and I hope it raises more speculation! ;)

Congratulations on catching up to the end, you deserve a pat on the back! :D

I'd like to address a few things first.

    1. This was no dream, dude. It's all too real.
    2. Yup, you're right there.
    3. Nope, that's Lucas having an argument against himself or in other words, his conscience.
    4. It's nice to give your hair a variety of scents from time to time so you don't eventually get sick of one, right?
    5. Lucas' hand went down Rio's back before it grabbed something that felt like a marshmallow, not around her chest.

Lucas went all out on roasting Rio by using her words against her because he felt wronged that Rio would just accuse him without hearing his side of the story. Lucas has always been passive since the beginning. He only shows his brutal side when someone else throws the first punch and this was one moment where he finally gets the upper hand on Rio instead of the other way around, so he couldn't help himself. Yeah, he went too far when he mentioned things that were beyond Rio's control such as being lonely or the downsides she faces as a [Renegade], but this was because he had gotten too elated and stopped considering the lines he shouldn't cross. As you read by the end of the chapter, he has to face the consequences but Rio's not getting out of this, scott-free.

My characters will make mistakes but this also presents a chance for them to redeem or improve themselves for the better so they can grow as people. Both Lucas and Rio are at fault here and we will learn next chapter on how they intend to settle it.

Ah, I loved writing the shoulder devils and angel scene, and I'm glad you enjoyed it too. As you may have known, while Lucas does have a conscience, to help him make decisions, they clearly have imperfections. I'm pretty sure I used the f-word before in previous chapters but since you feel like this is the first time you've seen it, great! I want to use curse words sparingly so I can keep their effect to the max. If I had someone who throws f-bombs in almost every sentence, it will lose its pressure and become more of comedy device. Just look at "House of the Dead: Overkill" It's in the Guiness book of records for most swearing in a videogame - and among every curse word used, they only counted the F-WORDS from ONE man even though he's not the only character that swears!

Finally, I thank you with all my heart for your continued support and I'm excited to bring out the next chapter soon! As you may have read, My lack of updates was due to my laptop breaking down and I either had to use my phone or the laptops of the other people who live with me. I'll finally get myself a new machine after Christmas ends and I'll get back to work after a few days of rest to enjoy the holiday season.

Cheers, and see you next time! ;)
