Thank you for sticking with the story. It is, in part, based on personal experience but by now I'm old enough not to be bothered by it. Also I hope I do better with my own children.

Brilliant or not there are those parents who are too busy with their own stuff to take much care of their children. I also based this on medieval societies where nobles would basically have their children raised by the nannies.

Anyways there is more to come....

I was going to do revisions for my other stories but I'm having more fun writing this one instead 😅

Something tells me Sybill could have wiped the floor with the five of them in an instant but that would have been boring. After all she finally has a Nemesis and a cool battle outfit.

She does feel in control but it was a smart move to switch PoVs mid battle and let us experience the rising dread of being unable to escape.

You can feel their despair, but it is a touch lessened by the fact that you know what's going to happen after reading the synopsis. But that is fine, otherwise it might feel too cruel. I hope she can make good use of her second chance.

Chapters 6 to 9 work as a set so let me comment as a set. Your work is detailed on goes into the small parts. That works for some readers but might not for all. I am not opposed to small world building but it does create the impression that this is a deliberately slow story.

This chapter is a turning point. On second thought I think it works well as is, yes the story is a little slow at first with lots of details but it pays off well. And well it's truly dramatic and the dryad is a great antagonist because she isn't completely in the wrong. From her PoV. But she overreacts.
