I tend to disagree, I believe in true love even at a young age. Several of the side couples (but none of the main ones) get together in their first year and stay together.
That being said, Blake's first foray into the dating scene will go abysmally, but that's a story for next volume.

Yup, it's basically exactly that. The ice was filled with Ark's mana, and she can't easily force her own mana in there while it's happening. Plus, without knowing where Ark actually was inside the ice, it would be kind of pointless to try digging around for him.

Elly is the MC. And so is Blake. The story is about both of them. While Blake is certainly "the hero", I believe that Elly's arc is just as important to this story as his.
And you can see why I said this is a good stopping point. It's a nice moment of happiness where Elly has some peace.
