In my humble opinion, and I'm trying to be objective here, Zeya dodging trained adult fighters of the vsf isn’t weak (especially when you consider she is just a high school girl and its 3 adult fighters). Even though, she is trained in kendo against her friend and her mom for years, her abilities (as well as knowing how to skimp the system) really showcases her prowess.
I do respect your point about how some readers feel an mc losing against mob characters, but it comes down to how you write it. I personally found it strange for a character be able to succeed on the first try being able to manipulate precisely a mass that is much more than what she is used to, but the mc has an inheritance :)
Not all op protagonists are bad, Dragon Ball Z’s Gohan was also op in the beginning which was explained due to his heritage. Naruto also started off relatively strong, but this was balanced with his reputation as the unwanted problem child and the fact that he had to put in much more effort than others to learn new powers and abilities, and even his advantages were explained as a gift from his parents as well as his bloodline. What matters is how strong they are relative to others and is there something the audience can identify with in the characters.
Anyway, I trust and look forward to what you have planned (your writing does have me hooked)
