Oh man, this chapter definitely hooked me in immediately, I love the way you set the tone and the subtle worldbuilding in the dialogue and descriptions! I also love the way you weave in physical descriptions - esp Lev's mask! it makes me very curious as to what it means and why he wears it. The dialogue and action too are very well done! I hope Lev is okay...omg....literally jumped in there with no hesitation, I could feel his pain (both emotionally and also getting stabbed a ton yikes). This is such an incredible intro! exciting to see where it goes!
