That's a good question! I'm not sure what the other writers on this site would say, but I believe your suggested range of 1500 -- 2000 words per chapter is about right. As you may know, many readers of web novels use handheld devices with small screens to read, so smaller chapters seem to work well. Also, it was pointed out to me that the more chapters you publish in a week, the higher the visibility your novel will receive (and thus, more views).
Out of curiosity, I took a quick count of the first five chapters in "The Dungeon Party" and came up with the following:
Ch 1. 3600 words.
Ch 2. 1592 words.
Ch 3. 2086 words.
Ch 4. 1645 words.
Ch 5. 2500 words.
