So a bit of a quick author’s notes now that the contest is over (for me at least) and I don’t want to interrupt the story’s flow with an extra chapter:
Back in around March or so (iirc), I posted a single chapter of a novel called “Red-Black Course”, intending for it to be my take on a sports LN, since, from what I’d seen, the genre wasn’t too popular in LNs. It never made past chapter 1 and was promptly deleted, since after a bit of drafting and asking around I realized the concept was going nowhere. Then, the contest came around, and with the new prompts I decided to completely overhaul the original story into a “cyberpunk” one to fit the contest, which leads to RBC being what it is today.
Now, with my newfound experience making the story, from now on (you can consider this chapter the start of volume 2), RBC is essentially going back to its roots, though I would still like to keep the “darker” vibes that the current run has managed to build. So, I hope everyone that continues to read it will enjoy what I have and will bring forward.
