Undue assumptions become rather necessary when the staff of this site almost solely communicate over a discord server that not everyone uses๐
๐
.
If you as a member of staff are reading content but not interacting with it, then I'd call that ghosting - As the mods surely you guys should be setting the examples round here ๐ค.
I mean with respect HoneyFeed strikes me as more and more poorly run - This book you took down, before which you didn't try and give them, say feedback via comments to suggest the author should tone it down - You just threatened then into removing it - When they then put a link to the original - You immediately pounce on them again.
So to summarise - Your team(not you specifically obviously) have neither time actually provided any feedback to this author, or tried to help their growth in any way - You have instead forced then to remove one book and then, when they went to all the trouble of republishing it, changing it to suit your standards - You immediately gun them down for putting a link to a version you say isn't allowed here?.
__
Look I get that there are rules, fair enough, but surely you can see the problem there?
Are you actively trying to push this author away? You give them literally nothing while incentivising they leave.
__
And this is far from the only case - The whole peer pressuring of blueberry into 'proving' he's read every book he likes?
I mean for god's sake, grow up - The poor kid has school work but further he's a young author, trying to improve and hone his craft - Yet once again what does he get? Almost no support, one account banned and a second bullied into writing reviews to proof his innocence.
Are you for real?!
__
So with all due respect bubble (and I appreciate this doesn't necessarily fall on you - Feel free to address this to your mod team, there is no button on the site for server feedback and I shouldn't have to start discord to that) I'm not making assumptions, if anything I'm just observing what is a site, that though full of nice people - Is being run like some mini-dicattorship where the staff are clearly more interested in branding then actually helping authors or improving the crappy framework of the basic codeing.
-Momentie out - Please don't ban me for speaking๐
