Ooops, I thought we were talking about the bullet part... The part about the roaches is related to a belief that you attract whatever you speak aloud, but this one is something my grandma says a lot, so I'm unsure of where it comes from. She says it works with money too, by the way, so just believe and it shall come to pass.
Being called a 'walking trivia' gets me very happy, though! All that useless small knowledge had to be used for something. But I'm actually Brazilian, the proper Spaniard was who thought me Spanish a good while ago.
