And with this, the fierce battle is finally over, but at what cost did Dave and his crew achieve victory? They have the hostage, but what did they lose?

Also, this battle kind of wrote itself and ended up a lot longer than I planned. Didn't want to write a half-assed fight though so I didn't cut anything from it during editing.

I was a bit sceptical after reading the 1st chapter/prologue but you blew me away with this chapter. Splendid mix of action supported by well-crafted descriptions and a more than mysterious main character whose strength seems to defy the laws of her world. I'm really curious about the world you’re crafting here. Good work!

That perspective change came out of nowhere. Actually low-key feeling relieved I’m not the only person doing this in their work despite using the 1st person narrative (although I use it more frequently as I low-key have two MCs, lol). Some scenes cannot be written from it if the MC does not experience them so this was an excellent choice in my opinion. you already foreshadowed the confession and it would have been hella weird for Barry to play a part in it. Speaking of whom, Barry may be weird in some ways but his style of narration is a bit easier to follow than Eleanor’s. At the same time, I can’t stop appreciating the time and effort you spend to make the language sound as authentic as can be. Mad respect!

Magic powder? Intriguing… Will there be more info about this at a later point? I feel like this might be seen as an asspull unless you offer some more details in order to cement it in the lore of the world you’re creating.

On another note, I like the subtle differences in characterization here in this short fight. Alice’s technique is refined but she’s as sheltered as they say which brings her defeat regardless. Then we have Barry who probably can’t even wield a knife properly in the kitchen yet his situational awareness is sufficient to be of crucial aid. Just something I really like here.

This 2nd stage in their journey proves to be a lot more exciting than I thought. This chapter is probably your best so far by a large margin. This is how you write a compelling backstory.

Another hilarious chapter dropped, yay! The combo of an unlucky streak breaker, a mysterious strong-willed girl, and a big-ass nerd is quite promising, I think. I wonder what’ll happen next.

Small suggestion: The chapter felt a little long to me. Maybe you could split it after Kaito accidentally defeated the security system?

Berserker's behavior is certainly odd but there's a reason for him to break his character, although it won't be revealed until much later. Sorry for the break, guys. Had I known I couldn't upload from the Honeyfeed App, I would have taken my laptop with me while I was out for a few days. We'll play catch-up then this week! 😅

Also changed the way I name chapter titles (they were way too wordy and awkward!). The story now has acts (likely 3 in total) and I added a headline to chapter 1 to reflect on that change.

With chapter 6, the cat is finally out of the bag. Dave and his guild potentially realized how to salvage the situation they found themselves in, but will they be successful? Find out in the next chapter! 😀
