Not every chapter will be like that but there definitely will be a few instances like this where events are told in more detail than would be common for most stories. I don't usually throw random scenes into my story without thought so if it's there then I usually try to achieve something by going more in detail. One of the chapters I worked on today is also more like this. Usually, it's either played for comedy or to develop a relationship. Sometimes, everyday activities are simply the best choice in a modern times non-school setting.
I may be a little prejudiced because I enjoy SoL but I'll try to have an eye on it from now on, thanks for your explanation! 😀
Thanks and no worries, most authors can't keep up with reading, myself included. The story gets really cute and romantic later on so if that's something you generally enjoy, you may be in for a ride.
