Author's Commentary #85:

Time to talk about Chapter 85: Helga's declaration.
This chapter is modified from the Helga's restaurant chapter that was in the original. Funnily enough, that chapter took place after the New Year's eve chapter in the original, but here it takes place before. Another fun fact is that the original was uploaded on New Year's day.

The chapter also confirms that the next major arc will be the Tabemono Gakuin headmaster selection exam. This arc will actually span multiple months within the story, but the first part of it will happen right after the next chapter. It will only last for a few chapters before it's back to slice of life chapters, but then the arc will resume after those chapters. In the original, I never fully covered the headmaster exam, but here the arc will be presented in it's entirety. I hope you look forward to it.

Thanks for checking this out. They most certainly have gone bananas. I actually had a few more ideas for the banana merch, but do to my draft barely reaching 1000 words, I didn't have enough content to split the story into chapters and decided not to include them and just kept the story short.

Author's Commentary #84:

Time to talk about Chapter 84: Christmas date.
Honestly, there isn't really much to talk about. This is just a nice short and wholesome Christmas date chapter featuring all the characters happily interacting with each other. My favorite part is probably the triplets singing. It's easily the cutest part of the chapter.

One thing worth noting is Rika's comment regarding the Christmas dinner. I won't elaborate, but it could perhaps be foreshadowing something that will happen later in the story.

Jojo was about the only thing I could think of when I saw the prompt, though funnily enough, the story could have actually existed without the Jojo reference, but I just had to make the reference. 🍌 Though speaking of memes, there actually other meme references hidden in the story, but the Jojo reference is obviously gonna overshadow everything.

Thanks for checking this out. There are actually quite a few fun references sprinkled throughout the story, but the Jojo reference was actually one of the first ideas I came up with for it. Funnily enough, I actually planned for this to be split into chapters, but after realizing the word count was barely over 1000, I decided to just merge everything into one.

Author's Commentary #83:

Time to talk about Chapter 83: Christmas eve angst.
The events in the story are starting to move along quickly. Last chapter was Halloween, now it's Christmas eve. However, the reason things are rushing through is because I needed it to be 2017 in the story, due to the fact that in the universe this story and others take place in, a very important event takes place in 2017. If you read Escape Witch, you'll probably know what the event is, but if you didn't I'll say no more and let you enjoy the experience.

As for the chapter, Rika and Masaru just did what 90% of shounen manga couples don't do and had sex. Funnily enough, they aren't the first couple in any of my series to have sex as that honor goes to Leona and Mukuro from Life Stream.

This chapter was in the original, and is pretty similar to its original counterpart. This will be true for most of the chapters leading up to the remake original arc. In fact, I'll confirm now that the remake exclusive arc takes place in March 2017 in the story, so expect to see any chapters from the original that took place before then along with any birthday chapters appear before the arc starts.
