…
Someone who would never leave your side?
You won’t find someone like that on this, or any other, world.
You would have to look to the divine.
…
It’s too late for Justin.
It’s not too late for you, Zbrke. You draw breath.
It’s not too late.

An Original Sin

Chapter:25

Oct 28, 2025

How do they know the sword does the whole ‘erase your essence from existence’ thing? Did a prophet tell them about that?
…
Justin, you could always put the sword down. You don’t need to work harder. You can’t work harder. You can’t do it.
You can’t kill your guilt.
You’ll never be able to get rid of it by yourself…
Thankfully, I know a guy who can get rid of it for you, and you won’t have to raise a finger.
You would, however, need to pray.
…
…
There’s still time, Justin Beckwith.

See what happens when you…
…
…
She just took the short way home, Dominic.
I’m sure she’s saved a seat on the couch for you.
…
You are no demon, Dominic.

Chapter:23

“What do you do if God has morals opposite to yours?”
Good question! That means one of two things: either God needs to change, or YOU need to change.
Frankly, with how broken people are (including myself), I don’t think it’s God that needs fixing.
Also, Dominic, I hate to tell you this, I really freaking hate to say this: mothers can be wrong.
But that doesn’t mean she didn’t love you.
Man…
This is too sad.

Yeah this whole thing is...

You four signed up for this, I suppose. The life of a terrorist has its ups and downs (mostly downs, apparently).

Chapter:21

Verwa is not a nice man.
He is not a polite man.
He is not a very likable man.
However, this does not mean that he is a bad man.

Ame is a nice man.
He is a likable man.
He is a caring man.
However, this does not mean that he is a good man.

Kaya is a girl.
She is fierce.
She is sweet.
Sy is a boy.
He is reserved.
He is intelligent.

Nell, Ame, Dominic...
If the children die, it will be your fault.

Uh, yeah, I sure hope it does!🤨

Chapter:20

Oct 27, 2025

What happened to Little Man? You can't count out the dog! Maybe the dog can take one of you to fetch the plant: after all, the doctor doesn't know you have Little Man! He's saying like, 'four days on foot' but you've got a giant wolf!
*squats down like Omni-Man in front of Nell*
Think, Nell, think!

An Original Sin

Chapter:18

Oct 27, 2025

The futility of a life where all meaning is self-imposed...

Soon enough, you realize that no matter what you tell yourself, there's nothing beyond this life: as a great theologian once said, "If you start with nothing; and you end with nothing; you are nothing!"

Unless, perhaps, there is something beyond?
Wouldn't that be something wonderful?

Chapter:16

Oct 27, 2025

Dominic...
You're the adult in the room; the man! As Razan from Reincarnation Royale would say, "A man does what he can and tries his best."
Why are you letting yourself be drug around by some clearly unstable child!
Also, why are you saying that "The reason isn't something given to you. It's something you make." when you're whole justification for following Ame is: "Because he's the first person who let me follow him."
Don't you realize that you're letting Ame come up with your reason for you? You're not thinking for yourself, my dude! You're letting Ame do all the thinking!
and Ame is mentally unstable!

Chapter:16

Empty facility, and none of them think maybe it’s trapped?!
Ame, if you’re going to be a terrorist, you need a little more foresight than that!
*gets shot for questioning our all-powerful leader Ame*

Chapter:15

Oct 27, 2025

What a shame; I’d prefer that none would die…
It’s almost like Nell’s development has been stunted because of his only friends being unstable people.
(That and his startling lack of self-awareness sometimes; I swear it’s like he’ll have a revelation about himself and then immediately shove it away from his thoughts)

Chapter:13

To:Anna Voig M.

Also, the problem isn't that he can't think of anything to do: it's about how anything he could do (including making the world better) would be a self-imposed goal that has no meaning beyond what he gives it.
It would be like buying yourself a " surprise present:" even if you go through all the steps of wrapping it up, hiding it away, and then giving it to yourself, at the end of the day, it has no meaning or intention beyond what you did. It's like talking to yourself.
