Ohhh, thank you so much for pointing that out!! I didn’t notice at all! You’re absolutely right, that was indeed confusing. I’ve changed Dionysus’ dialogue, so it should now be clear that Lucius will only “learn” of the trial at dawn. I also added a brief inner thought from Lucius to make it clearer to the reader that the setting isn’t entirely certain.

In fact, since Dionysus himself set this up, I wanted to imply that he has the power to create a shrouded place where the veil is thin, even in the human world.

One reason I had to cut so much, was to get them to the real "isekai" world asap to stay in-prompt, but that was at the expense of good storytelling. Now it takes far longer for the "real" story to begin, but who cares, right?
