Your sentence, “the need for someone to see the real you, not the image,” really fits the theme :3
And it’s awesome to hear that Mei-Ling doesn’t feel like an antagonist!
That’s exactly what I wanted to achieve by portraying her that way.
She is genuinely concerned about her family but can’t see what Yi-Yun needs right now!

I love the dry humor thats been showing up more and more in your stories since Pliniad.

I think it became your trademark somewhere around the cat-pirate arc, where you started to ease up the tension with... how to call it... 'the comedy in the absurdity' ?

I’m really glad you liked how I handled the time shifts, bcs from this point on the story will move entirely to Yi-yun and the present!

Aw that's a shame :/ For someone who doesn't like to write romance you do it pretty well ngl

But there might be other events like monthlies etc, or just write sth you'd like to? I must admit tho, the thrill of a contest is always an extra boost for motivation :3 Anyway I'd love to read whatever you come up with!

For myself, I have ideas for both prompts, but I think I'll be doing RomCom first.
