That's a cute, mature touch. A healthy dose of misogynism gets swallowed and the thrown up with careful and considerate conversation. Although, I'll admit that I felt something missing as I read through this and, looking back on it, I think it's just how... abrupt it comes across as. Within the same chapter the issue is sparked and resolved, which would be fine, if there were some sort of narrative buffer to it. As it stands right now, it's all very fast-forwarded and I feel like you could've definitely benefitted from a paragraph or two explaining either Thelian's or Chika's thought process for some much needed breathing room.
Regardless, the message is very salient and I'm happy some novels here address some regressive romantic mentalities that have too long been unabashedly adopted by media. Keep it up.
