Excellent little hints at what kind of turmoil is about to be unleashed. I'm waiting for a bit of 'darkness' in Yohei - he sounds too much like a nice guy! But I also know this is fluff and romance, so I won't expect too much xD his days definitely sound stressful and long, all that food on the go. No wonder he is weak for cute comfort food and healthy attention 👀

Thank you for the comment and advice! I love that idea of sound versus wind! 👀 You're entirely correct that this fight is very short - I was trying to save time by not expanding it too much. But now that the deadline has passed, I might rewrite scenes completely. I actually wanted to add more magic to this! And I am also aware that tanuki employ not only their bellies but two more -ahem- assets frequently which I should mention more xD

Yuame has never been in a fight in his life, and thus he completely froze up. But he may have done something without him knowing it yet 👀

And the tengu did not quite give up - Kaoru just managed to lure him away from Yuame first, and their fight continued out of sight while Yuame fled. Should clarify that a bit more 😅 thanks again!!

Love Kageyama’s motive, even though it’s completely insane! I’m writing with a similar concept, of yokai being forgotten by humans and therefor losing their strength, so parts of his reasoning I can understand which makes it even more chilling!

Also loved Rei and Aoi facing their own shadow clones. These conflicts and their resolve felt a little short to me here (just like you told me in your comments haha, I’ll reply to those too!), but that might be for the best so it doesn’t take away from the pace of the chapter.

And stunning visual implications once more! The streets lined with collapsed or zombified people looking at screens, the Tokyo dome with the red screens and the huge oyurei… anime, anime, anime!
