I absolutely love the beginning.
Its so exciting and when I read this chapter it was like I was the main character or even better that I could see the would through his eyes or mind.

Really like it but just for my taste maybe at the beginnen the way you describe builds to much tension,
for me it makes the whole book from beginning to end filled with tension and then there is no wow effect you know what I mean 🥲
But still it’s a cool writing style
