It’s always hard to decide exactly where to start a novel, but as I was reading this chapter, it struck me that it would make a decent first chapter.
If you die in the Digiscape, you die in Canada.
Please don't take this as an insult, because I intend it as a compliment, but in addition to this story being very funny, I noticed that your writing has improved a lot in the last year.

The ships being form over function reminds me of the imperial ships from LOGH, with the marble columns on the bridge that could crumble and crush someone if the ship took a hit.
Sci-fi villainess? Everyone's sleeping on this because of the contest, but this is top-tier.

Ohhhh yeah. I split the chapter here because it seemed like a good cliffhanger and because if the recommended chapter length for the contest. But the next paragraph gets into that exact detail. So in my mind, it wasn’t a question I was trying to prompt the reader to consider, because I know what’s next and I don’t originally write it that way.
