As you mentioned, the names start to appear more as the story progresses.
And I have to say, the chapter was a really nice change of pace. I don't mean to demean the action, since I know it's an important part, and an important draw of the story, but getting a chance to see Renka and Kasumi get some time to get to know each other was, I think, equally important.
I like the peeks we get into their minds that show that they're clearly interested in each other. (And in Renka's case, an admission that she's _really_ interested.) It can be a bit yuri trope-y for two characters to be unable to communicate their feelings properly, but I'm looking forward to see who ends up showing her true self to the other first. Will Renka get Kasumi to come out of her nervousness that comes off as aloofness, or Kasumi's cool demeanor eventually melt Renka's thin facade?
Also, that cabin must be fairly out of the way to not have been looted. Maybe people don't tend to stray too far from the safety of groups?
